Navigating Identity through Food

  • Loughborough Community Cafe The Platform, Loughborough Rd, London, SW9 7AH United Kingdom (map)

For our second event we'll be doing something special and holding an intimate sit down dinner to explore the role food plays in navigating our identity.

What role does food play in terms of your identity? Has this changed over time?

Our guest and chef for the evening will be 3 course meal created by our guest Amy Gastman, founder of the ridiculously delicious vegan delivery service Eat by Amy. Amy’s relationship with Indian cuisine has been as complex as her relationship with her Indian heritage. It has also been at the root of her passion for food and has led her to not only start her own culinary business but also to study the anthropology of food. As Amy guides our taste buds through the evening we’ll be exploring how food connects us to our heritage and how much importance we place on it.

The event will be held on Friday 2nd August at Loughborough Community Cafe in Loughborough Junction. There will only be 11 spots available so grab tickets now.

Doors will open at 7pm for 7:30pm start and last approximately two and a half hours.
