For our first online event we’ll be looking at the mixed experience over the decades and asking how far we’ve come when it comes to the mixed identity/experience. To discuss this topic we’ll be joined by special guest Esuantsiwa Jane Goldsmith, author of The Space Between Black and White.

For our final event of the year we’ll be exploring how travel and being away from home can impact how we see ourselves. To discuss this topic we’ll be joined by special guest Johny Pitts, author of Afropean.

For our fifth event we will talk about representation in the media , the importance of mixed race role models and the necessity of taking ownership of our stories.

For our fourth event we will be getting personal and sharing our experiences of growing up mixed race.

We will be joined by our special guest, Naomi Joseph, who will be screening her short film ‘Criteria’ about her family and the realities of being brought up in an Indian-English and Jewish household.

For our third event we will be exploring and discussing the power of language and how we choose to self-identify with our guest, Amani Saeed, a fierce spoken word artist whose identity is multi-faceted being a mixed race, Muslim, queer woman.

For our second event we'll be doing something special and holding an intimate sit down dinner to explore the role food plays in navigating our identity with our guest and chef for the evening Amy Gastman of EatbyAmy.

For our first event we'll be discussing the concept of belonging and the importance of fostering safe spaces and building community with co-founder of Postscript, Elvira Vedelago.
