Re-imagining Identity Through Travel

  • The Curtain 45 Curtain Road London, England, EC2A 3PT United Kingdom (map)

For our final Curated Conversations event of the year we will be exploring how travel and being away from home can impact how we see ourselves.

Joining us for the evening will be modern day Renaissance man, Johny Pitts, who is a writer, photographer and broadcast journalist. We'll be discussing his new book 'Afropean', the culmination of a 5 month trip he took across Europe exploring how the African diaspora have been forming new identities on the continent but it's also a personal insight into how his own identity (raised in Sheffield, of English and African-American heritage) has shifted over the years.

The event will be held on Monday 2nd December at The Curtain in Shoreditch.

Doors will open at 7pm and the event will kick off at 7:30pm.
